Corretta Bishop is a dedicated community leader with a lifelong commitment to service. She is the founder and team lead of the Days for Girls Poplar Bluff MO Team. The organization gained significant momentum in September 2024 during the Women Aware Conference in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, that focuses on empowering women. Days for Girls provides access to menstrual care and education, empowering girls and women around the world.


In addition to her work with Days for Girls, Corretta serves as the Service Committee Chair for the Altrusa International of Poplar Bluff, Missouri Chapter and sits on the board of Women Aware, Inc. She also holds positions on various city boards, including the Disabilities Advisory Board, the Art and Museum Advisory Board, the Historical Preservation Commission, and the Fair Housing Commission, Tree Advisory Board, and Building and Standards Board. 


In 2024, Corretta was recognized as one of 10 Difference Makers by the Daily American Republic, receiving this distinguished honor along with a resolution from the State of Missouri. Her dedication to community service and leadership is reflected in her ongoing efforts to create positive change, inspire others, and strengthen the communities she serves.
